Sharpening Rates
Straightforward pricing for professional knife and pruning shear sharpening in Medina and Gibson County. Final pricing is confirmed during intake after we inspect each item.
Prices are estimates.
Final pricing depends on condition, repairs needed, and whether the edge
is straight or serrated.
Serrated Bread Knives
Flat Rate $15 per knife
Serrated edges require a specialized, mostly manual sharpening process. Final pricing may depend on the serration style and condition.
Pruning Shears
Flat Rate $15 per pair
Full service: taken apart, cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner (for parts that can handle it), sharpened, and put back together.
Service Details
Repairs
Significant tip repair, deep chip removal, heavy rust cleaning, or reshaping may require additional labor. A final quote will be provided during physical intake.
Steel Types
We sharpen everything from standard German stainless to higher-end Japanese carbon steels. If you have an ultra-hard steel such as ZDP-189 or R2, please mention it at drop-off.
Ceramic Knives
We do not currently accept ceramic knives for sharpening due to their extreme fragility and specialized sharpening requirements.
Payment
Payment is due at pickup. Pay online in your Customer Portal with PayPal (which may also offer Venmo or card) or with a credit or debit card, or pay in person with cash, check, or Venmo.

What We Sharpen
We sharpen kitchen cutlery and pruning shears. Pocket knives, outdoor knives, everyday-carry (EDC) blades, and scissors are not currently accepted. Pocket and EDC knife sharpening is planned for the future.
