Using Our Website

This website is intended to provide information about our sharpening services, pricing, educational resources, and customer portal.

By using this website, you agree not to misuse or interfere with its operation.

Drop-Off Service

Drop-offs and pickups are by appointment.
Please package knives safely to protect everyone handling them.
We reserve the right to refuse service for unsafe, damaged, or inappropriate items.

Sharpening Service

Sharpening removes a small amount of steel to create a new cutting edge. By requesting sharpening, you acknowledge that this process permanently alters the edge of the knife.

We evaluate every knife individually and sharpen it using techniques appropriate for its steel, condition, geometry, and intended use.

Limitation of Liability

Every knife is inspected before sharpening, but some damage cannot be seen until sharpening begins. Hidden cracks, metal fatigue, previous repairs, manufacturing defects, or other pre-existing conditions may become apparent during the sharpening process.

While we take great care with every knife, our liability for damage resulting from our negligence is limited to the amount paid for the sharpening service performed on that knife.

We are not responsible for a knife's replacement value, sentimental value, incidental damages, or injuries resulting from the use or misuse of sharpened knives after they have been returned.

Safety After Sharpening

Please use extra caution when your knives are returned. A professionally sharpened knife will cut much more easily than a dull one. Many customers are surprised by just how much less pressure is required.

We recommend testing your freshly sharpened knives carefully and keeping fingers clear of the cutting path until you become accustomed to the new edge. Always use an appropriate cutting board and safe cutting techniques.

Knives and other edged tools are inherently dangerous. Once your items have been returned, Gibson County Knife Sharpening is not responsible for injuries, property damage, or accidents resulting from the handling, use, or misuse of sharpened blades.

Unless otherwise noted, all original content on this website—including text, graphics, photographs, logos, and educational articles—is the property of Gibson County Knife Sharpening and may not be reproduced without permission.
